CUMING COPORATION SUPPORTS DRILLING RECORDS

(Avon, MA) Cuming Corporation, a leading supplier of syntactic foam buoyancy modules for the offshore oil industry, played a significant role in two recent drilling depth records with its C-FLOAT syntactic foam modules.

C-FLOAT, a strong, lightweight composite material, provides excellent flotation properties for deep water module floats and buoys, as demonstrated by the following achievements:

• Noble Drilling set a drilling record of 9,000 feet with Paul Wolf for Petrobas, east of the Marlim field off Brazil in late 1999.
In 1998, Global Marine's drillship Glomar Explorer drilled to 7,718 feet for Chevron in the Gulf of Mexico.
